Injury Management
Manual Handling
Manual handling injuries are the biggest category of lost work time across all areas of industry and commerce. Complete Corporate Health can offer you a tailor made program to minimize the risks in your workplace
Manual Handling includes any activity requiring the exertion of force to lift, lower, push, pull, carry, move, hold or restrain a person, animal or object. It also includes repetitive or forceful tasks or those requiring awkward or constrained postures. Employers and employees alike have obligations, under Australian legislation, to ensure a safe workplace. Manual Handling education programs, commencing at the induction stage with yearly review workshops, are most effective in reducing work place injuries.
Our experienced Physiotherapists can conduct an initial assessment of your workplace and its job demands, then tailor a program to suit your staff using a PowerPoint presentation, anatomical model and interactive demonstration of correct postures, stretches and manual handling techniques.
